Wood Windows For My Flowershop

As we get more light in this place, it’s going to look a bit scary for a while.  This is an old garage built in 1927.  We don’t understand why people opt for toxic vinyl windows in Los Angeles.  The wood ones were not that expensive.  Here is the before/after on the wood windows.   Beautifully sourced and installed by Mark Hanlon of Hanlon ConstructionLike Hanlon Construction on Facebook.

And we found a great surprise once we got enought light to see it…

It won’t take much to knock these boards out.

That’s better…

After the light flooded in, we discovered this set of notes, logging the mileage on the family cars.  Circa 1946

  1. If these walls could talk! Your garage walls did!! That is so cool about the car notes!! Larry writes notes on all of our appliances about purchase and repair! LOL.
    LOVE the new windows!
